As your wedding photographer, our role extends far beyond simply taking beautiful images — we’re here to ensure the experience is as seamless and considered as the day itself. To help us do that with intention and grace, here are a few key examples of details we kindly ask you to share ahead of time. These allow us to prepare thoughtfully, support your planner and vendor team with ease, and preserve every meaningful moment with elegance.
1. Confirmed Timing & Locations
While plans sometimes evolve in the final days, having your schedule and locations confirmed as early as possible helps us structure your coverage with care. It allows us to:
- Coordinate any travel between venues
- Recommend adjustments based on ideal light
- Ensure a relaxed, well-paced photography experience
Even a working draft is helpful — once we have it, we’ll take it from there.
2. Other Creative Teams (Videographers, Content Creators, etc.)
If you’ve engaged multiple visual teams (such as a videographer, content creator, or additional photographer organised by your main photographer eg a second photographer or assistant), please let us know ahead of time. While we’re always happy to collaborate, it’s essential to align beforehand to ensure we work harmoniously and avoid overcrowding your space or duplicating efforts.
3. Meaningful Photo Requests
Whether there’s a specific pose you love, a must-have shot from a family wedding, or a personal detail you’d like documented, we’d love to hear about it. When possible, please share these notes (or inspiration images) in advance so we can plan accordingly — from lighting to location — and capture it with intention.
We’ll always blend your requests with our signature style, creating timeless images that feel authentic to your story.
4. Visual Inspiration
You’ve likely gathered a collection of images or moodboards that speak to you — and we welcome that. Sharing a curated selection of reference images gives us a glimpse into your aesthetic preferences, whether it’s editorial, romantic, modern, or timeless.
This allows us to tailor our creative direction to reflect the look and feel you envision, while staying true to our elevated and refined photographic approach.
5. Delicate or Sensitive Information
We take great care to photograph your day with empathy and understanding. If there are any family circumstances we should be aware of — such as bereavements, separations, or complex dynamics — please share them with us in confidence. This allows us to be mindful during group portraits and interactions, ensuring everything flows gracefully and without unnecessary discomfort.
6. A Dedicated Point of Contact
On your wedding day, our priority is for you to be fully present — not managing logistics. Assigning a trusted contact (such as your planner, maid of honour, or sibling) allows us to liaise discreetly throughout the day for anything we might need.
This ensures your experience is uninterrupted while we take care of the finer details behind the scenes.
In Closing
When these elements are shared ahead of time, it allows us to move with quiet precision and artistry. Every decision we make — from lighting to timing, angles to editing — is done with purpose, so your final gallery feels seamless, intentional, and exquisitely reflective of your day.
We can’t wait to document it all.
