They provide you with exclusive use of the property to which you can completely create your own event. This includes the Villa, with its beautiful accomodation (for the 12 guest houses only), the stunning gardens, pool, and extensive grounds. You can also use “The Garden Room” a lovely additional building surrounded by Gardens which you can use for your reception for smaller weddings.
Best part, you don’t need to travel overseas to get this breathtaking Italian inspired set up. It’s right in the Hunter Valley, in Australia. Fun fact is I used to live in Wollombi right near this venue! While I’m based near Melbourne now, that’s why I have travel included in all of my wedding packages for your ease so you don’t have to worry about any additional costs for your wedding photography.
Venue Details:
- Guest Limit: Up to 60 guests can be accommodated within the villa and gardens. However, if you have more guests, the venue can accommodate up to 200 guests with the use of marquees or 50 guests in “The Garden Room”.
- Accommodation Options: The villa offers 12 guest houses included in the venue cost, and additional accomodation options if desired. The villa is perfect for intimate gatherings and provides a relaxed atmosphere for your wedding celebrations.
- Ceremony and Reception: The villa’s gardens and grounds are perfect for an outdoor ceremony, and the indoor spaces can be used for a reception or other celebrations.
- While prices are subject to change, the venues averages around 25k for the venue/house by itself and around $900 per person with everything included.

As a seasoned wedding photographer, I’ve learned that attention to detail is key to capturing the magic of your special day. Here are some tips to ensure your wedding at Redleaf Wollombi is truly unforgettable:
- Be mindful of the time of year you host your wedding. While the venue itself may be reminiscent of a warm, sunny day spent in Italy, the Hunter Valley area can get quite cold from May through August, but the tones can change to your advantage do you want warm reds or more bright greens? If you want more reds in the gardens then go for a April-May wedding, if you want greener tones, consider a summer wedding.
- Take advantage of the venue’s unique palette of colours and textures to work with. Both in the villa and gardens provide stunning backdrops for your wedding photos.
- Have your reception tables set up in-front of the villa with the festoon lights above, for that beautiful European feel.
- Opt for an elegant music touch that fits with the theme, violinist, harpist, etc.
- Enjoy cocktail hour in the garden with a bar gart or gelato cart which sometimes can double as a water station!
- Don’t forget to schedule some downtime during your celebration. Whether it’s a quick 10 minute break, or a relaxing drink by your ceremony with your bar cart, make sure you prioritise self-care.
- Have a helicopter to bring your guests and the groom
- Have the bride arrive by a beautiful vintage car for ease
- Have your first dance (or last dance) under the festoon lights
- Get creative and have some chandeliers above your reception tables for the ultimate ooze for European romance
