As a seasoned wedding photographer, I’ve learned that attention to detail is key to capturing the magic of your special day. Here are some tips to ensure your wedding at Redleaf Wollombi is truly unforgettable:
- Be mindful of the time of year you host your wedding. While the venue itself may be reminiscent of a warm, sunny day spent in Italy, the Hunter Valley area can get quite cold from May through August, but the tones can change to your advantage do you want warm reds or more bright greens? If you want more reds in the gardens then go for a April-May wedding, if you want greener tones, consider a summer wedding.
- Take advantage of the venue’s unique palette of colours and textures to work with. Both in the villa and gardens provide stunning backdrops for your wedding photos.
- Have your reception tables set up in-front of the villa with the festoon lights above, for that beautiful European feel.
- Opt for an elegant music touch that fits with the theme, violinist, harpist, etc.
- Enjoy cocktail hour in the garden with a bar gart or gelato cart which sometimes can double as a water station!
- Don’t forget to schedule some downtime during your celebration. Whether it’s a quick 10 minute break, or a relaxing drink by your ceremony with your bar cart, make sure you prioritise self-care.
- Have a helicopter to bring your guests and the groom
- Have the bride arrive by a beautiful vintage car for ease
- Have your first dance (or last dance) under the festoon lights
